Closing 1 door...

Well, today is my very last day at the Sheriff's Office.  I can't believe this day is already here - like seriously, where does the time go!?  I cleaned out my office and computer yesterday.  Today I'm just gathering up a few loose ends and getting them squared away.  I'd like to get everything done and then just hang out the rest of the day.

I work with the best guys ever.  They've been so nice and accepting of me - since day 1.  They've turned into some of my best friends.  I'm going to miss them a lot..

This weekend is going to be extremely busy.  Tomorrow Shelby has 2 gigs.  I have a nail appointment and then I have some things I wanna do before we move.  Sunday is our last day at our church, and then we're going to be spending most of the afternoon making sure everything is ready for the movers.  Monday morning the movers come in to box up all our stuff, then Tuesday they come to load it up.  Wednesday I fly out to WV, and Shelby will be following me on either Monday or Tuesday of the next week.  All of this is happening so fast!

I have to admit I'm really nervous about flying with Tristan.  I don't like to fly anyways.. but I'm worried that he will be fussy or get sick.. I just don't want everyone looking at me and being annoyed that I can't keep my baby quiet.  What about his poor ears? He's not gonna understand. :(  Does anyone have any experience with flying with a 1 yr old?  Is there anything I can give him to make him sleep??  I'm really looking for some advice!

Believe it or not, my ear is STILL messed up.  I still get dizzy on a daily basis.  Insane huh?  I'm wondering if the pressure in my ears from flying is going to make it better or worse.  I'd love for it to just POP and be completely back to normal!  I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it doesn't go haywire and throw my equilibrium completely off.  I don't think I'd be doing well if I was falling all over myself and puking..LoL

PLEASE pray for us that we make it thru the next few days without feeling overwhelmed or stressed.  I don't know if I'll have a computer on Monday or not.  :(

HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEKEND!!!

  2. Hey Miranda,

I was trying to email you the header for the new design, and the email bounced back to me. I see that today was the last day at your job, so that's probably why! If you'll email me at leslieflambert@gmail.com, I'll send you a preview of the new design! :)

    Thanks,
    Leslie

  3. Easier said than done, but try not to stress about air travel with a one year old. We had to fly every three months with our sick daughter between teh ages of 6 months and almost 24 months, and it was TOUGH because she did not feel good as it was and was not able to self soothe. She would cry or scream the entire time unless I was BF'ing her. Yeah. I am not kidding. (would not take a bottle or a pacifier).

So, my advice is this: it wont be as bad as you are imagining. Also, you might want to give him a little tylenol before the flight to make him a little sleepy? that was recommended to me once. and make sure you bring him some comfort things, toys he likes or favorite blanket or pacifier, etc..
AND worst case scenario, if he screams and cries the entire flight(s) (which I'm sure he wont), remember this:
Who cares what they think?? Anyone who has had or has a baby will more than understand and if not, then screw them, you will NEVER have to see those people again!!!!!! :)
