Yay for Good Days!

Today we met Shelby's college trumpet professor and his family for lunch since they were passing thru Jacksonville on their way back to WV.  It was nice to see some people from "home".  Shelby and I used to babysit their kids when we were dating.. they've gotten SO big!  Their family has been through SO much these past few years and it's so great to see them enjoying themselves and able to look forward with hope and excitement.  God is good!

After we met them for lunch we went to Lucca's 1st birthday party! It was so much fun! I love watching babies dig into their first birthday cake - I can't wait for Tristan go be in that chair! Lucca got a LOT of nice toys and clothes.. he's such a lucky boy! It was nice seeing his parents too - we used to live across the street from them.  Now that we've moved we NEVER see them.  It's my fault because I said I'd plan some times for us to get together, but didn't.  I really need to do better about that!

This evening we came home and Tristan CRASHED (he missed his nap) so I cleaned around the house and started cooking some dinner for myself.  Shelby is working valet for a wedding tonight so it's just me and the little man.  I made curry rice for dinner - that's pretty much my routine when Shelby is working nights. ha ha. He doesn't like it so I can only make it when he's NOT HOME!  Now my house is clean and I've eaten my dinner and I don't know what to do! I guess I could go tidy up the bedroom.. and the master bath (I tend to neglect those two rooms the most).  Afterwards I can slip into my PJ's and enjoy some quiet time reading - unless Tristan wakes up.. ha ha.  I better hurry up and do something or I've going to devour this bowl of Hershey kisses!

I'm feeling so much better these days.. maybe it's because I'm taking my medication regularly.. who knows.  I truly feel like the minute the clock struck midnight on Dec 31 that I was in for a change.  So far so good. :-)  I'm trying really really hard!

I hope everyone had a wonderful day!

  2. Good for you! You know I've been taking anxiety meds for awhile now and I'm so glad I have been. They make me feel much more "normal" than I did before. Sometimes you just need a little help! But I'm so happy that the year is turning out good for you! I'm still trying to not get discouraged..hasn't been the best couple of days! :(
